What RCON Hub does for Counter-Strike 2 servers

Plugins that survive CS2 updates

Metamod and CounterStrikeSharp with a curated catalogue and its dependencies. A release that says it doesn't support your CS2 build is held back, gameinfo.gi is repaired before every start, every start ends with a check of which plugins loaded and why one didn't, and “Start without plugins” is one click.

Bans that hold

CS2's own ban list keeps nothing. RCON Hub kicks a banned player on every join, and its own RCON Hub Bans plugin keeps them out with the app closed. CS2's team-kill kicks go into the player's history and can become a ban for a set time.

MatchZy matches

Set up teams, players and maps, load the match, force-start, pause, restore a round or end it. The live score and results come from MatchZy's own feed, and the match's GOTV demo lands in the demo library.

Live chat and kill feed

Chat, team chat, kills with weapon, headshot and distance, joins and map changes, live from the server's log (on a rented server, from its log files over its file access); kills, deaths and headshots on player profiles and the leaderboard.

Maps, Workshop and modes

Workshop maps and collections, the map rotation, game mode presets, a server.cfg editor and bot presets.

CS2-SimpleAdmin

Your bans are copied into CS2-SimpleAdmin, which gets the setting it needs to start on an empty server, and an unban it didn't take is reported.

Rented servers with their files

Give a rented server its file access (the host panel's files, FTP/FTPS or SFTP) and the Plugins page, RCON Hub Bans, the cfg editor, map groups and mode settings work there too: RCON Hub keeps a copy of the server's files, changes it and sends back only what changed. Matches, demos and SimpleAdmin's ban sync stay for servers on your PC.

Discord, in your language

News, a chat bridge and a bot with /status, /players and /map. Every screen, and the Discord posts, can be in one of 12 languages; what players read in game stays English.

Under the hood

How RCON Hub connects to Counter-Strike 2

CS2 speaks Source RCON on its game port. RCON Hub keeps one connection per server and handles CS2's quirks: it answers on the PC's network address rather than 127.0.0.1, and it cuts status short after a Workshop map, so the player list then comes from status_json. Chat, kills and joins arrive live over logaddress_add_http, registered again after every start and map change.

Bans

Banning players on Counter-Strike 2

Ban in all games

RCON Hub can ban one person on every server of every game you run, from one page. Here's how that ban reaches Counter-Strike 2: CS2's own ban list (banid) keeps nothing, so a ban kicks the player and RCON Hub kicks them again whenever they join. With RCON Hub Bans, a small CounterStrikeSharp plugin that comes with the app, the server itself keeps banned players out while the app is closed. Bans are by Steam64 and shared across your CS2 servers.

ClanStop global bans (Fair-Fight)

On servers where you turn it on, a clear cheat confirmed by ClanStop keeps a player off every server that enforces global bans. A match kicks the player from that server right away; only ClanStop can make a ban global, after re-checking the evidence. How global bans work. How to set it up, step by step (English guide).

There are no CS2-specific ClanStop global rules yet; your own fair-play warnings use the kill lines' weapons, distances and positions.

Counter-Strike 2 server manager FAQ

Why doesn't `banid` keep players out of my CS2 server?

CS2 accepts banid in every id form and stores nothing. RCON Hub keeps the ban list itself: it kicks a banned player whenever they join, and its RCON Hub Bans plugin (CounterStrikeSharp) does the same with the app closed.

Do I need plugins?

No. Players, chat, kills, kicks, bans, maps, backups and automation work on a vanilla server. The plugin manager is there when you want Metamod and CounterStrikeSharp plugins, MatchZy matches or the ban plugin.

Will a CS2 update break my plugins?

It can: CS2 updates often break Metamod and CounterStrikeSharp. RCON Hub holds back a plugin release that says it doesn't support your CS2 build, repairs gameinfo.gi, checks what loaded after every start, and can start the server without plugins until fixed builds are out.

Are skin plugins supported?

No. Skin, knife, glove and agent changers give players items they don't own, which breaks Valve's server guidelines and gets the server's login token banned, so RCON Hub refuses them.

Is the Counter-Strike 2 server manager ready?

Yes. Its tools have been tested on a real Counter-Strike 2 server. Adding a rented server (Nitrado, a Pterodactyl panel or FTP) is still marked Preview until it has been fully tried on a real host. RCON Hub is beta software, so back up before big changes.

Where can I get help with the Counter-Strike 2 server manager?

Ask on ClanStop's Discord. Server owners and the RCON Hub team answer setup questions, bug reports and game requests there. The link is in the menu and at the bottom of every page.
