Valheim server manager & admin tool

Host Valheim on your PC or a rented server: start and stop that always saves, kicks and timed bans without RCON, an allowlist in one click, world modifiers, bringing in your own world, backups, optional BepInEx mods from Thunderstore and Discord.

Optional BepInEx mode with Thunderstore, next to vanilla
Bans
With a reason and time limit; the tool lifts temporary bans itself

What RCON Hub does for Valheim servers

Players from the server log

Who's online, with join, leave and death news, and everyone who has played with play time and deaths.

Kicks and timed bans without RCON

A kick is a ban, a wait for the server to drop them, then an unban — the server applies bannedlist.txt within seconds (checked live).

Allowlist in one click

Only allow everyone listed, or let anyone join. Turning it on with nobody listed is refused, so you can't lock everyone out.

World modifiers and presets

Difficulty presets and modifiers — combat, death penalty, resources, raids, portals and more — applied on the next start.

Bring in your own world

Copy a world from this PC's own Valheim onto the server; the server's copy is backed up first.

Backups and restore

The world and player lists before every restart and update, or on a schedule; restore ours or the game's own.

Restarts and updates

Daily restart times, and updates through SteamCMD when nobody's on or after a countdown.

Why it stopped

Plain-English reasons from the log: a port in use, a damaged world or a full disk.

Several servers on one PC

Each gets its own instance id; port clashes are explained, with a free port suggested.

Discord

Joins, deaths, restarts, updates, the crossplay join code and a daily summary — Valheim can't message players in game, so countdowns go to Discord.

Under the hood

How RCON Hub connects to Valheim

Vanilla Valheim has no RCON. RCON Hub reads the server's log for joins, leaves and deaths, and moderates through the server's own list files — bannedlist.txt, the admin list and the permitted list. Stop sends Ctrl+Break, so the game saves its world. Adding a rented server is still a preview for this game: Nitrado and Pterodactyl panels have been tested on real servers with other games (7 Days to Die on Nitrado, Project Zomboid on BisectHosting), not yet with this one.

Bans

Banning players on Valheim

Ban in all games

RCON Hub can ban one person on every server of every game you run, from one page. Here's how that ban reaches Valheim: Their SteamID goes into each server's bannedlist.txt, whether the server is running or not; a player who's on is dropped within seconds. On a rented server it's written over its files.

ClanStop global bans (Fair-Fight)

On servers where you turn it on, a clear cheat confirmed by ClanStop keeps a player off every server that enforces global bans. A match kicks the player from that server right away; only ClanStop can make a ban global, after re-checking the evidence. How global bans work. How to set it up, step by step (English guide).

No global rules: the server doesn't log positions, combat or progression. Manual reports and your own bans only.

Valheim server manager FAQ

How can it kick players without RCON?

It bans them, waits for the server to drop them, then unbans them. The server applies bannedlist.txt within seconds — checked on a live server.

Does stopping the server save the world?

Yes. Stop sends Ctrl+Break, so Valheim saves its world before it closes.

Can I run Valheim mods?

Yes, in an opt-in BepInEx mode next to vanilla, with mods from Thunderstore. Most Valheim mods must be on both the server and every player, so RCON Hub shows what players need.

Does it work with rented Valheim servers?

Yes, through Nitrado, a Pterodactyl panel (BisectHosting and others) or any host with FTP, FTPS or SFTP. Bans, lists, world modifiers, mods and backups work; kicks don't, because Valheim has no console. Rented servers are still a preview for this game: the Nitrado and Pterodactyl panel support has been tested on real servers with other games, not yet with this one.

Does Valheim have RCON?

Not in vanilla. RCON Hub works without it: it reads the server's log and edits bannedlist.txt, the admin list and the permitted list, which the server applies within seconds.

Is there a free Valheim server manager for Windows?

Yes. RCON Hub's Valheim tool is free for Windows. It installs the server with SteamCMD, saves on every stop, handles bans, the allowlist, world modifiers, backups and updates, and posts news to Discord.

Is the Valheim server manager ready?

Yes. Its tools have been tested on a real Valheim server. Adding a rented server (Nitrado, a Pterodactyl panel or FTP) is still marked Preview until it has been fully tried on a real host. RCON Hub is beta software, so back up before big changes.

Where can I get help with the Valheim server manager?

Ask on ClanStop's Discord. Server owners and the RCON Hub team answer setup questions, bug reports and game requests there. The link is in the menu and at the bottom of every page.

Questions or problems?

Ask on ClanStop's Discord: support, ideas, game requests and ban appeals.
