Mod checks with one-click fixes
B41-only mods on a B42 server, missing or disabled dependencies, incompatible mods, duplicates, removed Workshop items, unknown mod ids and load-order loops — in plain English.
Get Workshop mods onto your Project Zomboid server and keep them working: paste a collection, fix load order and missing dependencies in one click, restart when a mod updates, and back up before every restart — on your PC or a rented server.
WorkshopItems=, Mods= and Map= are written; every other line is keptB41-only mods on a B42 server, missing or disabled dependencies, incompatible mods, duplicates, removed Workshop items, unknown mod ids and load-order loops — in plain English.
Sorted on require, loadModAfter and loadModBefore, with map mods before Muldraugh.
When a mod needs other mods, install them right there.
Steam is checked every 10 minutes; players get warnings at 10, 5 and 1 minutes, or it restarts right away if nobody's on.
The world, the settings files and the accounts database, with a free-space check; restoring takes a safety backup first.
A running server, Steam libraries, SteamCMD and WindowsGSM folders — and switches mod checks to its build.
Sessions, hours survived, deaths, skills, PvP hits, chat and last position (zombie kills with the KillCount mod), with notes, watch list and flags.
Game ports, the server listening, the Windows Firewall rule and the router over UPnP.
Hours survived, skill levels, play time and PvP hits, per season or wipe; zombie kills too when the server runs the KillCount mod.
Paste a channel webhook, no bot needed, and pick which news to post, kicks and bans included. Every screen, and the Discord posts, can be in one of 12 languages; what players read in game stays English.
Project Zomboid speaks Source RCON for players, messages, kicks and bans. RCON Hub launches the server's java directly with your own memory setting instead of the batch file's fixed 16 GB, and reads server-console.txt to name the mod behind a Lua error.
RCON Hub can ban one person on every server of every game you run, from one page. Here's how that ban reaches Project Zomboid: By SteamID with banid over RCON — which works even for someone who never joined — or by the account name seen on that server when there's no SteamID.
On servers where you turn it on, a clear cheat confirmed by ClanStop keeps a player off every server that enforces global bans. A match kicks the player from that server right away; only ClanStop can make a ban global, after re-checking the evidence. How global bans work. How to set it up, step by step (English guide).
| Rule | When it matches | Repeats |
|---|---|---|
| Melee reach | a vanilla melee hit beyond 4 tiles (the longest reach is 1.63) | 2 |
| Handgun range | a vanilla handgun hit beyond 36 tiles | 2 |
| Shotgun range | a vanilla shotgun hit beyond 30 tiles | 2 |
| Firearm range | any vanilla firearm hit beyond 80 tiles (40 with a scope) | 2 |
| Killed while dead or goneall games | a kill more than 10 s after the killer died or left, or before they joined | 1 |
| Kill beyond the mapall games | a kill distance larger than the map's own diagonal | 1 |
| Dead attackerall games | hits or kills while logged dead | 1 |
Only vanilla weapons count; modded weapons stay local. The rules read the server's PvP log, whose line still has to be checked on a live server. Every rule ships switched off until it's been checked on a live server.
Step-by-step fixes for the problems Project Zomboid server owners hit most.
Yes. Build 42 is the default; Build 41 installs from the legacy branch. RCON Hub reads which build you have and checks mods against it.
It backs the ini up, then writes only WorkshopItems=, Mods= and Map=. Every other line is kept exactly as it was.
Yes. Steam is checked every 10 minutes against the versions the server started with, with in-game warnings at 10, 5 and 1 minutes.
Yes, through Nitrado, a Pterodactyl panel (BisectHosting and others) or any host with RCON and FTP or SFTP: settings, the Workshop mod list, backups and start, stop and restart. RCON has been tried on a real BisectHosting server, where “Fix it for me” finds a free port for it; the rest of rented support is still a preview for Zomboid (Nitrado itself has been tested on a real server with 7 Days to Die).
Paste a Workshop collection or item link. RCON Hub writes WorkshopItems=, Mods= and Map= for you, sorts the load order, installs required mods in one click and points out Build 41-only mods on a Build 42 server.
Yes. RCON Hub's Zomboid tool is free for Windows. Over Source RCON you get players, messages, kicks, bans, access levels and a console, and it also handles mods, backups and restarts.
Yes. Its tools have been tested on a real Project Zomboid server. Adding a rented server (Nitrado, a Pterodactyl panel or FTP) is still marked Preview until it has been fully tried on a real host. RCON Hub is beta software, so back up before big changes.
Ask on ClanStop's Discord. Server owners and the RCON Hub team answer setup questions, bug reports and game requests there. The link is in the menu and at the bottom of every page.

Free for Windows 10 and 11, published by ClanStop. Beta software — back up your server's settings and world before changing anything.
