Rust server manager & RCON tool

Look after Rust servers you rent or run on your own PC: wipes on autopilot, an F7 reports inbox, triggers with fair-fight checks from the combat log, shared bans and Oxide or Carbon plugins — in the same free app as your other games.

What RCON Hub does for Rust servers

Wipe Manager

Weekly, every other week or forced-wipe Thursday; map, map + blueprints or full wipe; a dry run that lists every file first. On your PC it runs the whole wipe: backup, update, new seed, start and check.

F7 reports inbox

Reports grouped by the reported player, with who reported them, their K/D and your notes. Kick, ban, watch list or mark handled.

Triggers, like BattleMetrics

Each trigger reads as one sentence: when a player joins, chats, kills, gets an F7 report or the FPS drops — only if it matches — then say, flag, kick, ban, post in Discord or restart.

Fair-fight checks from the combat log

Headshot rate over a player's last kills, kills beyond the weapon's normal range, long shots at night or in fog, leaving right after a fight, and cheating accusations in chat. Export the weapon ranges and cheating words to a file and import them on another server.

Raids & stashes

Four optional addons built on free uMod plugins: stash digs, raid tracking with explosives used, offline raids and TC authorization groups.

Shared bans and alt warnings

One ban list across your Rust servers, imported from banlistex or exported. Warnings for possible alts on the same address or network, and optional Steam profile checks.

Oxide and Carbon plugins

Search uMod, install by name or link, upload a .cs or .zip, update, turn off, remove, and edit configs with a reload — even while the server runs.

Monitoring and restarts

FPS, memory, entities and players over two hours. Restart on low FPS or high memory, and daily restarts, with countdowns in game.

server.cfg with search

Settings one by one, with a search box that narrows the list (Nitrado's settings too). On a rented server, settings Nitrado manages go to Nitrado.

Server listing editor

Name, multi-line description, header image, website, tags and slots, with a preview.

Discord

News, the mod log, game chat into a channel, a daily summary, kicks and bans as their own posts and an optional public admin log, in your community's language.

Leaderboards per wipe

Every stat as a sortable column, one season or wipe at a time; each wipe the Wipe Manager runs starts a new board.

Under the hood

How RCON Hub connects to Rust

Rust speaks WebRCON: a WebSocket on the server's RCON port. RCON Hub keeps one connection per server and reconnects by itself, and says plainly when the password is wrong. For rented servers, a Nitrado long-life token, a Pterodactyl panel's API key or an FTP or SFTP login adds the files: plugins, server.cfg and users.cfg, wipes and backups. Adding a rented server is still a preview for this game: Nitrado and Pterodactyl panels have been tested on real servers with other games (7 Days to Die on Nitrado, Project Zomboid on BisectHosting), not yet with this one.

Bans

Banning players on Rust

Ban in all games

RCON Hub can ban one person on every server of every game you run, from one page. Here's how that ban reaches Rust: By Steam64 id with banid, then server.writecfg — also for someone never seen on your servers. A stopped server on your PC gets the ban written into cfg/bans.cfg, which it reads when it starts.

ClanStop global bans (Fair-Fight)

On servers where you turn it on, a clear cheat confirmed by ClanStop keeps a player off every server that enforces global bans. A match kicks the player from that server right away; only ClanStop can make a ban global, after re-checking the evidence. How global bans work. How to set it up, step by step (English guide).

ClanStop global ban rules for Rust
RuleWhen it matchesRepeats
Projectile lifetimea hit farther than the bullet can fly in its 8 s lifetime (pistol beyond 2400 m)1
Bow rangea bow kill with a wooden arrow beyond 500 m (the real maximum is about 255 m)2
Bow range, HV arrowsa bow kill with HV arrows beyond 1300 m2
Crossbow rangea crossbow kill beyond 1000 m (HV arrows beyond 2000 m)2
Killed while dead or goneall gamesa kill more than 10 s after the killer died or left, or before they joined1
Kill beyond the mapall gamesa kill distance larger than the map's own diagonal1
Dead attackerall gameshits or kills while logged dead1

Fire-rate and speed rules don't run in Rust: kill times are when the line arrives, and positions aren't read. Every rule ships switched off until it's been checked on a live server.

Rust server manager FAQ

Does RCON Hub work with rented Rust servers?

Yes. WebRCON gives the live console, players, chat, bans and triggers. Add a Nitrado long-life token, a Pterodactyl panel's API key (BisectHosting and others) or an FTP login and you also get plugins, the Config tab, wipes and backups on the rented server's files. Rented servers are still a preview for this game: the Nitrado and Pterodactyl panel support has been tested on real servers with other games, not yet with this one.

Do I need Oxide or Carbon?

No. Everything over WebRCON works on a vanilla server. Plugins are optional, and the Raids & stashes addons each need a specific free uMod plugin. RCON Hub warns you that gameplay plugins put the server on the Modded list.

Can it wipe on forced-wipe Thursday by itself?

Yes. Pick forced-wipe Thursday (the first Thursday, 19:00 UK time, shown in your own time) and choose map, map + blueprints or full. On a server on your PC it can also update with SteamCMD when a new build is out that day.

How do I ban someone from all my Rust servers?

Ban them on a shared list and the ban reaches every Rust server using it. RCON Hub's Ban in all games goes further and bans them in every game you run, by Steam64 id.

How do I manage a Rust server from my PC?

Install RCON Hub on Windows and add the Rust tool. It can install a server with SteamCMD and start, stop, update and wipe it on your PC, or connect to a rented server over WebRCON with its address, RCON port and password.

Is there a free RCON tool for Rust?

Yes. RCON Hub and its Rust tool are free for Windows 10 and 11: the live WebRCON console, players, chat, kicks and bans, F7 reports and triggers.

Can I share my Rust fair-fight settings with another server?

Yes. Export on the Fair-fight settings card (Triggers page) saves the weapon ranges and cheating words to a file that other admins can import. The file never holds your Steam key or any player.

Is the Rust server manager ready?

Yes. Its tools have been tested on a real Rust server. Adding a rented server (Nitrado, a Pterodactyl panel or FTP) is still marked Preview until it has been fully tried on a real host. RCON Hub is beta software, so back up before big changes.

Where can I get help with the Rust server manager?

Ask on ClanStop's Discord. Server owners and the RCON Hub team answer setup questions, bug reports and game requests there. The link is in the menu and at the bottom of every page.
