How to get ARK: Survival Evolved tribe logs and raid alerts in Discord (no plugin)
ASE tribe logs stay stuck in the game. Here's how RCON Hub reads them over RCON and posts raids, tames and the killfeed to Discord, no plugin needed.
You can't see who raided whom on your ARK: Survival Evolved server, because the game only shows tribe logs to the tribe itself, never to you as the admin. RCON Hub fixes it: its ASE Manager reads the tribe logs over RCON and turns them into a killfeed, tame and raid alerts, on the app and in Discord, with no plugin.
Why tribe logs are hard on ASE
ARK writes kills, tames, destroyed structures and decay into each tribe's log. Out of the box, only that tribe sees it in game. As the admin, you get nothing.
To get the lines out, the server needs launch switches like -servergamelog and -ServerRCONOutputTribeLogs. Then something has to keep calling GetGameLog over RCON, because it only hands back recent lines.
So the manual way looks like this:
- Add the right switches to the launch line and restart.
- Poll
GetGameLogyourself and dig through raw tribe-log text. - Or install the ARK Server API and a tribe-log plugin, which is Windows only and won't run on Nitrado.
- Set up a separate bot to post it all to Discord.
It's a lot of moving parts just to answer "who raided that base?"
What the game and other tools leave out
- No admin view. Tribe logs show up only for the tribe in game. ASE Manager reads them over RCON and lists kills, tames, raids, decay and admin commands on the Tribes page.
- No history.
GetGameLogonly hands back recent lines, so something has to keep asking. ASE Manager keeps one steady RCON connection per server and polls it for you. - No plugin-free route. The usual fix is the ARK Server API and a tribe-log plugin, which is Windows only and won't run on Nitrado. ASE Manager needs no plugin at all.
- Messy raw lines. The game writes some events twice, stamps the game log in UTC and ends tribe-log lines with a stray bracket. ASE Manager counts each event once, reads the times right and still recognises those lines.
- No Discord link. Getting raids into Discord usually means running a separate bot. ASE Manager posts raid alerts, tames and the killfeed through a Discord webhook.
How RCON Hub fixes it
The same tribe logs feed the rest of ASE Manager:
- Kills, tames and raids on each player's profile and the leaderboard.
- Triggers and fair-play signals that act on raids and kills.
Step-by-step setup
- Install RCON Hub. Download it from rconhub.gg and run the installer. It's free for Windows 10 and 11.
- Add the ARK: Survival Evolved game pack. Open RCON Hub. On Your games, click Add game, pick ARK: Survival Evolved and click Install.
- Add your server. On the Servers page, give it a name. Paste your folder under Already have the ARK server? Its folder (optional), or leave it empty to install it with SteamCMD. Click Add.
- Turn on the tribe logs. On the Server page, under Switches, tick Keep the game log (needed for the killfeed, tames and raid alerts), Put tribe logs in the game log and Send tribe logs to RCON (GetGameLog). Click Save. They apply at the next start.
- Start the server. Click Start server.
- Watch the logs. Open the Tribes page. Filter by Everything, Kills and deaths, Tames, Raids or Raided tribes, or use Find a name or tribe.
- Connect Discord. In Discord, open the channel's settings, then Integrations, Webhooks, New Webhook, and copy its URL. In RCON Hub, open Automation, find Discord news, paste the webhook and click Connect.
- Pick the raid alerts. Under Post, tick Raid alerts, tames and the killfeed (from the tribe logs). Click Send a test to check the channel.
Want more? The Triggers page can act on raids, and the Leaderboard page ranks kills, tames and raids.
Is it safe?
Yes.
- It runs locally. RCON Hub and ASE Manager run on your own Windows PC. ASE Manager never opens the RCON port in your firewall or on your router.
- No injection. RCON Hub never touches the game client or your players' games. There's nothing for anti-cheat to flag, so it won't get anyone banned.
- Your secrets stay put. The admin password and your webhooks are stored encrypted on your PC and kept hidden after you save them.
It's beta software. Back up your server's settings and saves before you change things.
