Latest updates

The latest releases of RCON Hub and each game's tools, newest first. The hub updates itself and every game's tools from inside the app.

  1. Project Zomboid 0.1.41
    • A missing required mod is easier to add: the mod's name opens its Workshop page, with a Workshop search link and a box to paste the missing mod right there (if Steam is busy, we ask it again a minute later). The Mods list shows where each mod loads (#1, #2…), and the "must load above" warning says where both load.
  2. Project Zomboid 0.1.40
    • A space copied along with the RCON password no longer stops the connection.
    • Build 42 servers: "How fast skills level up" is on the simple settings screen again.
  3. Garry's Mod 0.1.3
    • Garry's Mod's own console commands: the console's "Common commands" list had three Counter-Strike commands (mp_restartgame, mp_warmup_end, bot_kick) that Garry's Mod doesn't have. They're replaced by host_workshop_map, gamemode and bot, and the input's example is "changelevel gm_flatgrass".
  4. s&box 0.1.8
    • Sandbox limits on the Settings page: the prop, explosive and other per-player limits, spawn protection and prop ownership moved from the bottom of the long Server page to the Settings page (which only had backups), where owners look for a game's rules. The Server page's settings card points there. They're saved and applied as before.
  5. WARDOGS 0.1.47
    • Things are where you look for them: Who can join (the global ban list, player level limits, Steam account checks, the high-ping kick, blocked names) is its own server tab now, after Teams, instead of under Settings. Round history opens from the Dashboard (next to the round number) and from the Players page, no longer from Settings. Limits for moderators (most kicks per hour, the unusual-kicks warning) moved from the Public page to the Reports tab, next to staff activity; they're saved as before. Old links keep working.
    • Clearer names: the Messages tab is now Messages & Discord, and its "When the server is quiet" part is now Seeding, with seeding mode and seeding rewards side by side and the top seeders below.
    • WARDOGS's own ping limit: WARDOGS announced a 175 ms ping limit for its servers in October 2026 (not confirmed for community servers yet). The high-ping kick on Who can join says so: if it applies to your server, a limit above 175 ms is never reached, so set it lower to act first. The default is unchanged.
  6. Garry's Mod 0.1.2
    • Server updates on the public branch: SteamCMD is no longer asked for "-beta public" (seen in the s&box pack on 2026-10-23: Steam answered "Access Denied" for a new build that way, while the plain update went through).
  7. Garry's Mod 0.1.1
    • Updates on the x86-64, prerelease and dev branches: the update check compares with the server's own branch, not public's. Such a server no longer shows "out of date" for good and is no longer updated every half hour.
    • Your own Workshop list is kept: a srcds_workshop_ids.txt you wrote (by hand or with another tool) joins the list when the server is added, when a rented server's file access is set up, and before every start. It is never deleted or overwritten before that.
    • Workshop collections: players download the collection's items too (resource.AddWorkshop), not only its maps and game modes. Its items are asked of the Workshop before every start and after a change on the Server page (Steam not answering: the last list stays). The addon check's findings for them show in the collection box.
    • A collection pasted in the add box while Steam doesn't answer is refused, instead of its own id landing on the list as an item.
    • Addon check: old items (*_legacy.bin) are unpacked and checked. An addon that couldn't be read shows "couldn't check" instead of "no backdoor signs"; one without Lua shows "no Lua code".
    • Chat can't fake events: a chat message shaped like a log line (with another player's SteamID) stays chat.
    • Freeze restarts follow the crash rules: none with automatic restarts off, none after 3 crashes or freezes in 10 minutes, and one "server offline" trigger event instead of two.
    • Rented servers: the bridge, the Workshop files and DarkRP's files copy only their own files and folders, never all of addons/ or lua/. ULX and the other admin mods are found from a listing of the server's addons folder.
    • A 64-bit server started elsewhere (srcds_win64.exe) is noticed before a start, like the 32-bit one.
    • The Game Server Login Token set through the Server page is checked like on the launch page: one used by another server here is refused.
  8. s&box 0.1.7
    • Updated before it starts: Facepunch's s&box update of 2026-10-23 (build 26166580) came while the owner's server was stopped, and the half-hourly auto-update only updates a running server, so starting it would have booted the old build that players on the new game can't join. Now, with "Update automatically when Steam has a new build" on, a server on this PC that's behind Steam is updated first whenever it starts (Start, start when s&box Manager opens, planned restarts), the same way as Update (a backup of its config first, the progress on the Server page), and the news says "Updated to build … before starting". If Steam can't be asked (no network, SteamCMD error, no answer in 30 seconds) it starts with the installed build and the console says so. A crash or freeze restart only uses the last known answer (no SteamCMD in a crash loop). With the setting off it starts at once and the news says a new build is out (once per build). Rented servers are updated by their host, as before.
    • A game that doesn't load on an old build: s&box's game code is now built for the exact version the server runs, so a server that's behind may fail to load its game. When that happens while it starts and Steam has a newer build (with the same setting on), the server is updated and started again (once per start; if it fails again, it stops with the news as before). The news says "The game didn't load on the old build; updated to … and started again."
    • Updates work again on the public branch: seen live on 2026-10-23, SteamCMD was asked for "-beta public" and Steam answered "Access Denied" for the new build, so every update failed; the same update without it went through. Now only a real beta branch (staging) is named. SteamCMD's "state is 0x… after update job" is read as an error and tried again, and a server brought in by its folder gets SteamCMD before its first check.
    • Saving the server settings from two places at once (a SteamCMD job and the page) no longer fails with "access denied" on Windows.
  9. s&box 0.1.6
    • Out of preview: s&box Manager has been tried live with real players (joins, chat, kicks, bans, admins, freezes, a game that breaks), so its Preview badge is gone. Adding a rented server keeps its own Preview label until it has been tried on a real host.
    • Sandbox limits on rented servers: the Server page's Sandbox limits card now also shows for a rented server running Facepunch's Sandbox (with the panel console set up). The host's start line isn't s&box Manager's, so the limits are typed into the server's console after every start, once its game has loaded (also after a restart from the host's panel, and when s&box Manager opens), and at once when you save while it's connected.
    • Admins apply sooner: s&box reads its admins only when the server starts. After Make admin / Remove admin on the Players page or a save on the Admins page that changed who has which claims, a running server with nobody on restarts at once to apply it; with players on, both pages say it takes effect after the next restart, and with the server stopped, at the next start. Changing only a name doesn't restart anything.
  10. RCON Hub 0.3.13
    • Global bans are one click away again: on the ClanStop page, each game's Change in … ClanStop settings link (and its Open button when the game isn't running) now opens that game straight on its ClanStop settings, where Enforce ClanStop global bans and the Wall of Shame are set. Before, they opened the game's start page, which has no ClanStop tab inside the hub.
  11. WARDOGS 0.1.46
    • The stats page's current round time skips empty hours: the round time sent to ClanStop now counts from when someone was last on the server (and, as before, from the first kill when nobody fought for a while). With nobody on, no round is sent, so the page shows who's online instead (live: an empty server's page said the round was "going for 23h 19m").
  12. WARDOGS 0.1.45
    • Fewer "Server empty" alerts: with seeding mode on, the alert only comes when the server empties after it was out of seeding (at your seeding limit or more), not each time a few seeders come and go. Without seeding mode, after anyone was on.
  13. Team Fortress 2 0.1.4
    • Your language: every screen is translated into Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), French, German, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Korean and Japanese. In RCON Hub it follows the language picked in Settings → General → Language (or Automatic, your browser's); on its own it has a language menu at the top.
    • Messages the tool writes itself (news, admin actions, job progress, errors, rented-server setup notes) show in your language too.

  23. RCON Hub 0.3.12
    • Bringing in an existing install asks before it replaces anything: when a game's tools found on this PC would replace servers already set up in the hub, the banner says so and Bring it in asks you to confirm first ("Replace what is set up here?"). What was there is still kept in a before-import-… folder in the game's data.

  26. 7 Days to Die 0.1.27
    • SFTP file access for rented servers: Servers → Setup → File access has a new choice, SFTP, for hosts that offer it (sign in with a password or a private key). The first Test shows the server's key and saves it with the setup; if a different key ever answers at that address, the tool refuses to connect, so nobody can stand in for your host.
  27. ARK: Survival Ascended 0.1.27
    • SFTP file access for rented servers: Servers → Setup → File access has a new choice, SFTP, for hosts that offer it (sign in with a password or a private key). 28. ARK: Survival Evolved 0.1.23
  29. Counter-Strike 2 0.1.3
    • File access for rented servers: the setup takes the host panel's own files (Nitrado or a Pterodactyl panel), FTP/FTPS or SFTP, with "Find it for me" for the game folder and a Test. Then the Plugins page, RCON Hub Bans, the cfg editor, map groups and mode settings work on a rented server too: the tool keeps a copy of the server's files on this PC, makes the change there and sends back only what changed (stop the server first for plugins).
    • Chat and kills from a rented server: read from the server's own log files over its file access (the tool turns the log on over RCON). The kill feed, leaderboard, triggers and Discord posts now work for rented servers with file access.
    • Matches, demos, SimpleAdmin's ban sync and the launch line stay for servers on this PC (they need the server to reach this PC).
    • Nitrado's own backups show in the list (Nitrado sends it in a different shape than expected).
  30. DayZ 0.1.23
    • SFTP file access for rented servers: Servers → Setup → File access has a new choice, SFTP, for hosts that offer it (sign in with a password or a private key). 33. Team Fortress 2 0.1.3
    • File access for rented servers: the setup takes the host panel's own files (Nitrado or a Pterodactyl panel), FTP/FTPS or SFTP, with "Find it for me" for the game folder and a Test. Then the Plugins page, the cfg editor, map cycles (picked through mapcyclefile in server.cfg, since the host owns the launch line) and mode settings work on a rented server too: the tool keeps a copy of the server's files on this PC, makes the change there and sends back only what changed (stop the server first for plugins).
    • Chat and kills from a rented server: read from the server's own log files over its file access (the tool turns the log on over RCON). The kill feed, leaderboard, triggers and Discord posts now work for rented servers with file access.
    • Matches, demos, FastDL and the launch line stay for servers on this PC (they need the server to reach this PC).
    • Nitrado's own backups show in the list (Nitrado sends it in a different shape than expected).
  34. Valheim 0.2.32
    • SFTP file access for rented servers: Servers → Setup → File access has a new choice, SFTP, for hosts that offer it (sign in with a password or a private key). 35. 7 Days to Die 0.1.26
    • Tested on a real Nitrado server: console, players and chat, restart, kicks and bans, staff, backups, settings, wipes and mods.
    • Nitrado setup picks the port that answers: Nitrado maps a server's ports, so the port in the config file isn't the one reachable from outside. The live connection now uses the port Nitrado lists (seen live: 8081 in the file, 25260 from outside).
    • Nitrado settings reach the game: a setting Nitrado also lists is now saved to the server's config file as well as to Nitrado's settings. On a real Nitrado server the game ran on its file, so a change sent only to Nitrado never arrived, and the tool said Nitrado had put it back.
    • A saved setting shows its new value until the restart applies it (Nitrado writes it into the config file only when the server starts); before, the box went back to the old text.
    • The server log after a restart: Nitrado names a new log file at every start, so the tool now follows the newest log in the folder instead of the one it found during setup. On a server set up earlier, open its Setup and save once.
    • One wipe at a time: a wipe asked for while another was counting down started straight away, and both ran at once. Now a second wipe is refused while one is coming (cancel it, or use its Now button), and skipped while one runs.
    • Nitrado: its own backups show again. Nitrado sends the backup list in a different shape than expected (found on a real Nitrado server), so the list could come up empty.
  36. ARK: Survival Ascended 0.1.26
    • Nitrado setup picks the port that answers: Nitrado maps a server's ports, so the port in the config file isn't the one reachable from outside. The live connection now uses the port Nitrado lists (seen live: 8081 in the file, 25260 from outside).

  38. Counter-Strike 2 0.1.2
    • ClanStop: a server you stop sharing, remove or rename now leaves the public list. Before, it only went quiet and stayed listed for up to 30 days. The tool now tells ClanStop to take it down, and forgets the ClanStop choices of a server that's gone.
  39. DayZ 0.1.22
    • Nitrado setup picks the port that answers: Nitrado maps a server's ports, so the port in the config file isn't the one reachable from outside. The live connection now uses the port Nitrado lists (seen live: 8081 in the file, 25260 from outside).

  45. Grounded 2 0.1.23
    • Secret boxes can't be filled in by the browser any more: webhooks, bot tokens, RCON, FTP and server passwords and keys use a masked box the browser leaves alone. Seen live: a saved password was filled into a key box and the pasted key landed after it, so the key was refused. Sign-in and account pages keep normal password boxes.
