v0.3.13 — what's new

One app for every game server you run.

RCON Hub is a desktop app used a bit like Steam. Add a tool for each game you host, sign in once, and give every person exactly the access they need — per game, per server.

How it works

Install once. Add games. Invite people once.

The hub is small and ships with no game tools. Each game is a separate download — a game pack — that lives inside it.

  1. 01

    Install the hub

Run it all-in-one on this PC, or open a window onto a hub running on another machine on your network.

  2. 02

    Add a game

Pick from the catalog. The hub downloads the pack, checks its size and SHA-256, and installs it — keeping the old version for rollback.

  3. 03

    Give access

One account per person, for every game. Choose roles per game and per server from a single People screen.

Game packs

A real tool for each game — not a generic text box.

Every pack is built around what that game's server owners actually fight with: RCON and server management for Rust, 7 Days to Die, DayZ, ARK: Survival Ascended, ARK: Survival Evolved, Counter-Strike 2, Team Fortress 2, Project Zomboid, Valheim, Palworld, Grounded 2 and WARDOGS. New to RCON? Start with what an RCON tool does.

Fair Fight · WARDOGS rules & Rust / 7DTD triggers

Write your server's rules like sentences.

No wall of preset switches. In WARDOGS, Fair play → Settings is a list of rules you build from dropdowns: if something happens, where it matches your conditions, then do something — and do more if it keeps happening.

  1. Add rulePick what to watch: kills, team kills, deaths, team switches, a built-in cheat check, a player joining or leaving, or the end of a round.
  2. Add conditionsWeapon type, distance, headshots, kills per minute, K/D… all must match. When someone joins: their K/D and headshot rate on all your servers, or across every community that shares with ClanStop.
  3. Pick actionsFlag for staff, warn, move back, kick, ban for a time, add to the watch list, post in Discord, or note in the audit log. A ban already removes the player, so it replaces kick and warn.
  4. Escalate"If it happens 3 times in 30 minutes, then kick." Each step needs more times and an action at least as firm.
  5. Test, then go liveIn "Just tell my staff" mode rules only record "would kick". Switch to act when you trust them.

OldDog is a server admin: never banned automatically.
    • Safe by default. Admins and whitelisted players are never banned automatically, and there are at most 3 automatic bans an hour.
    • Only rules that make sense. Each condition once, "someone dies" can't kick or ban, and contradictory rules are paused, not dropped.
    • Shareable. Export rules as JSON and import a friend's — you see what's in the file before it's added.
    • Says who it acts on. Every summary names the target: kick the killer, warn the player who died.

Triggers in Rust and 7 Days to Die

Like BattleMetrics, but every trigger reads as one sentence: when something happens, only if it matches, then act. Rust's checks read its combat log for weapon, distance and headshots. Starter triggers only flag, post in Discord or use the watch list, so they're safe on day one.

    Bans

Ban once. Keep them out of every game.

Shared ban lists cover your own servers and the communities you trust. ClanStop global bans go further: a clear cheat caught on one server keeps that player off every server that enforces them, in every game — after ClanStop has re-checked the evidence.

Ban in all games · new in 0.2.20 Manage → Bans

Ban one person on every server of every game at once, by their Steam64 id. Each game says how it went — and when it can't, why.

Games whose tools aren't running get the ban (or its lift) as soon as they start; timed bans end everywhere by themselves. Needs the hub permission "Ban a player in every game". Shown in Activity.

Shared ban lists WARDOGS · Rust
Pick a list and ban someone to see it spread.
      • Bans are copied into each game server's own ban list, so they hold even while the tool is closed.
      • Only bans the tool added are ever lifted — a server's own bans are never touched.
      • Temporary bans lift themselves when they run out.
      • Rust: shared with banid, imports from banlistex, and warns about possible alts on the same address or network. Trigger bans can go to every server sharing bans.
      • 7 Days to Die: bans by EOS and platform id, so they hold across Steam, Xbox and PlayStation; banned players' rejoin attempts are logged.

      Flags · new in 0.2.16

Every flag, from every game, in one table.

Fair Fight, triggers, cheat signals, player reports and staff flags from all your games land on one Flags page. Filter it, sort it, open the player's profile, and mark flags handled without opening each game. Each game card shows ⚑ N flags, coloured by the worst one.

      Reason Actions

Mark handled and Reopen use the same permission as the game's own buttons and show in Activity. Games whose tools aren't open are listed with a button to open them — the page never starts them.

      Rented servers · 8 games

Rented or on your PC — the same screens.

Add a rented server from a game's Servers tab. With Nitrado, paste a long-life token, pick the server, and the rest fills in. Any other host works over FTP. Settings, mods and plugins, backups, wipes and Start / Stop / Restart then work on the rented server's files.

Not yet tried on a real Nitrado server. Valheim has no console, so on a rented Valheim server bans work but kicks don't. DayZ and ARK console servers are read from their logs and files. Setting up file access needs the new files.access permission (admin and up).

          Leaderboards, seasons & wipes

Give your regulars something to chase.

Every game has a Leaderboard tab: the top players for a season, all time or your own dates, on all servers or one. Each game ranks what it really tracks — zombies killed in 7 Days to Die, hours survived in Zomboid, K/D in Rust.

          • Ties share a rank

One sign-in. Access that fits each game.

Each game declares its own roles and permissions. You choose a preset or custom permissions, and optionally limit it to some servers. Adding a game later never means inviting anyone again.

            • People who manage others can only give what they have themselves
            • Invites let people choose their own password
            • Two-factor sign-in with recovery codes, and a rule for who must use it
            • Sessions, devices and an activity log for every account
            GameRoleServers
            Under the hood

Built so one game can't take down the rest.

Every game in its own process

Packs start on demand on a random localhost port. On Windows they sit in a Job Object, so they never outlive the hub. One game crashing can't touch another.

            Signed identity

The hub checks your session and access, then adds a signed X-Hub-User header. Packs trust nothing else.

            In-game overlay

Press Ctrl+Shift+F12 in any game and the hub opens on top. Nothing is injected, so anti-cheat is fine with it.

            Safe updates

Packs are checked by size and SHA-256 before install, and the previous version is kept. Update all updates every game's tools at once — game servers keep running.

            Clean shutdowns

Stopping a game asks it to save first. A kill is only the last resort.

            Bring what you have

Already run WARDOGS Manager? Bring in its database, people, passwords and 2FA as they are.

            • Counter-Strike 2 and Team Fortress 2, each tested on a real server: plugin managers, matches, FastDL
            • DayZ and both ARK games tested on real servers
            • Pterodactyl panels (BisectHosting and others) for rented servers
            • Your games and Add game on one page, with tool updates on each game's card
            In the works
            • Rented servers tested on real hosts beyond the first BisectHosting test, including Nitrado
            • Global-ban rules switched on one by one, after each is checked on a live server
            • Server files for rented CS2 and TF2 servers, next to their RCON
            Planned
            • Rented Grounded 2 servers (Lantern on a VPS)
            • More hosts with their own panel APIs, next to Nitrado and Pterodactyl

            BETAUse at your own risk

RCON Hub and its game tools are beta software, provided as is, without warranty. Features change quickly and some haven't been tried on every host yet. You're responsible for your servers and their data.

            • Back up first. Before you change settings, mods, rules or wipes, make a backup of the server's settings and world — and keep a copy off the server.
            • Try changes on a test server or in "Just tell my staff" mode before going live.
            • Check after updates that your server still starts and behaves as expected.

            FAQ

            Questions, answered

Is RCON Hub ready for my live server?

It's beta software, so use it at your own risk. Several tools have been tested on real servers, but always back up your server's settings and world before changing anything — settings, mods, rules, wipes or updates — and keep a copy somewhere other than the server. The game tools have backups, and most can undo the last update from the backup made just before it.

            Is this a cloud service?

No. The hub runs on your own PC or server. You can share it on your network and open it from another machine with the desktop app.

Will the overlay get me banned?

The overlay is a normal always-on-top window. Nothing is injected into games. It shows over windowed and borderless games; in exclusive fullscreen Windows switches out of the game.

Can you add support for my game?

Ask on ClanStop's Discord: tell us the game and what you'd like the tools to do. New games are added by ClanStop and arrive through the hub's signed list of games, like every update.

What happens to my data if I remove a game?

Remove takes away the pack's program. Game data and people's access are kept, so adding it back picks up where you left off.

Can a server owner ban someone globally?

No. A server's tool only kicks the player from that server and reports the match with the ids of events ClanStop already has. ClanStop re-runs the rule on its own copy of the data and decides. Matches close to a threshold, reports from new servers, and anything past 3 a day from one install go to ClanStop staff. Bans can be appealed and lifted everywhere.

What counts as a cheat for a global ban?

Only things the game makes impossible without cheating, such as a bow kill far beyond any arrow's range or moving faster than any vehicle — with margins of 1.5–2× and usually two separate matches. Good aim, a high K/D or a lucky shot never cause a global ban. Every rule stays switched off until it's been checked on a live server.

Can I share my ban list with another community?

Yes. Export a list (JSON, or banid lines for Rust) and they import it. WARDOGS also imports BattleMetrics and Warcon CSV files. Each server chooses which lists it uses. Rust and WARDOGS can also export their fair-fight settings for other servers to import.

Do the new fair-play rules replace my old settings?

In WARDOGS, your old kick and warning settings are turned into rules that do exactly the same thing. A saved or imported rule that uses an option that's gone, or contradicts itself, is kept but paused until you edit it. "Starter rules" puts the default set back at any time.

            Is ClanStop live?

Yes. RCON Hub sends to ClanStop at clanstop.com/rconhub, but only for servers where you turn sharing on. A listed server shows in ClanStop's server list, with a public stats page for leaderboards and who's online. Nothing is sent until you turn it on.

            What exactly does ClanStop receive?

Only what you turn on, per server. Listing: the server's name, game, region, players and description, and its join address only if you tick that box. Player data: ids, names, sessions, who's online and the game's stats; ids stay private and ClanStop's pages show names only. Flags: the rule, a one-line summary, severity and time. Never IP addresses (only one-way fingerprints), notes, evidence, chat, passwords or settings.

Do the tools work with rented servers?

Yes, for Rust, 7 Days to Die, DayZ, both ARK games, Zomboid, Palworld and Valheim, and over RCON with Start / Stop / Restart for Counter-Strike 2 and Team Fortress 2 (WARDOGS is remote already). DayZ and ARK also work with Nitrado's Xbox and PlayStation servers. With Nitrado, paste a long-life token and pick the server; with a Pterodactyl panel (BisectHosting and others), paste its API key; any other host works over FTP. You get settings, mods or plugins, backups, wipes and Start / Stop / Restart. Rented servers have been tested on real hosts: 7 Days to Die on Nitrado (console, restart, bans, backups, settings, wipes and mods) and Project Zomboid's RCON on BisectHosting. Other games on rented servers are still a preview. On rented Valheim kicks aren't possible (bans work).

Can I ban someone from all my games at once?

Yes. The hub's Bans page bans one Steam64 id on every server of every game, with a reason and how long. Each game says how it went: banned, waiting for a server that's offline or for its tools to start, or not possible there and why (Grounded 2's server has no ban, and ARK: Survival Ascended needs the player's EOS id). Lift undoes it everywhere.

            Which games are still previews?

Garry's Mod and Grounded 2 are still previews, with a Preview badge on their game cards here and in RCON Hub: tested against stand-in servers so far, so expect some log lines and settings to need fixes after the first live use. Every other game has been tested on a real server. Adding a rented server is marked Preview in every game until it has been fully tried on a real host. Back up first, as with everything here.

Where do I see flags from all my games?

On the hub's Flags page: fair fight, triggers, cheat signals, player reports and staff flags from every game in one table. Mark handled there with the same permission as in the game. Each game card shows how many flags are open.

            Which games are next?

Tell us on ClanStop's Discord which game you want next and what you'd like the tools to do.

            Want a game added?

Ask on ClanStop's Discord: tell us the game and what you'd like the tools to do. Support and ban appeals are there too.
